My Idol

Idol is someone that is truly special for us, it can be celebrity, singer, politician or an entrepreneur. It is up to you to decide the one to be your idol, over some reasons, someone will consider their family members as an idol, because they think they are noble, kind and willingness to sacrifice. Do you agree with my perception?Anyway, I am going to talk my idol. He inspires me in my study, family and live.

Let me introduce the you the famous Robet T. Kiyosaki. I am not sure if you ever heard about him. He is an American. investor, businessman, self-help author, motivational speaker, game inventor, financial literacy activist, and occasional financial commentator. How did I get to know him? One day, I went to Popular bookstore and I read a book written by him. Somehow, this special quote from him attracted me, 'we always work for money, why don't we make the money work for us?' Indeed, this quote sounds not logic at all, money is not a living thing, how can it work? Then, I started to gain interest in his books. Until today, I have collected 6 of his books. Amazingly, I enjoy reading now. Before this, reading is a bored activity for me, but not after I get to know Robert T. Kiyosaki. He is 65 years old, his wife is Kim Kiyosaki. Besides that, he has a sister named Emi Kiyosaki.

When I see through his life, he is not from a rick family. He built up his fortune hes own. At one point, he even went bankruptcy. But, he did not give up. And he is grateful that his wife did not abandon him at that crucial moment. He struggled a lot and came up to one of the most influential people around the world. I heard some denial about him before, some stated that his teaching is not wise and precise. Personally, I read through his books and figured out failure is a great lesson to everyone. I think this is because of his own personal experience, he is trying to tell everyone not to follow his mistakes. Different people come with different perception, I digested what I read and took some of the applicable ideas. Still, I salute him for his way of thinking. He is a critical thinker and the way he perceives an issue is unique. The solution given is based on sharp thinking.

I want to be like him when I step into the society, to be a  successful man in business and life. The passion he shows towards his life is extraordinary, he tries hard in educate the younger generation about the importance if wealth or money management. It is not an easy task for me, but I want to be at there, a successful businessman, standing in front of the crowd and share my experience.

For anyone who is a big fan of Robert T. Kiyosaki, here is some good news for you. He is coming to Sunway Pyramid to give out a talk. It would be great if you can earn some useful knowledge from the talk. The date is 29th of May 2012 to 31st of May 2012. It is so bad for me not to join his talk, this is because I am going back to my hometown for semester break by that time. How sad it is...

Mid-Semester Break

I was quite excited when I heard this topic from Mr. Jaferi. But, I am totally sad now, because the mid-semester break is going to end soon! To all my friends, how did you spend your mid-semester break? Some of them spent it with family, and some with their beloved one. What about me? My mid-semester is so boring!

Before the break, I told myself to sleep early everyday, grab this opportunity to get enough rest. But, I ended up go to bed at 3 or 4 am in the morning. What was I doing at the sleeping hours? Guess what, I read a lot of comics. You must be thinking that I am childish, right? Before that, I have to declare a statement, I was not reading adult comic, don't get me wrong ya. I found out that I learned a lot through comic, about the truths of life and the moral values. I am a big fans of One Piece, Naruto and Bleach. Among the 3 comics, I love One Piece the most!

Other than that, I came out with a schedule for workout. Of course, I hope to lose some weight. I did everything, but I put on weight! Oh My God, I think the main problem is my diet. I have to work harder next time, fitness is a long term goal for me. Throughout my break, I managed to contact with some of my secondary schools friends. We had a lot of fun through chit-chat. They reminded me about all the 'honeymoon years' in secondary school, crazy moments with sweet memories. Most of them are busy with study, some of them started to work already. To all my friends out there, I wish you all the best, and I know we are going to meet someday!

I bet you realized I was alone throughout the break. Indeed, I was!I missed my family very much and I wanted to go back badly. Due to the price of flight ticket, I had to stay back. Whenever I was free, I will drop a call to my family, to keep myself updated to all the latest happenings. Don't worry, Papa and Mummy, I will take good care of myself, I won't let you down! I have to be extra patient, because the semester break is coming soon!

Wake up, Adam Chong! Get back to work since your break will be finished soon. A real sadness for me. I will catch up with my friends after and get back to university's life again...

My Favourite Singer

This title reminds me about my teenage-hood. Those days, we spent time chatting in class, chasing our dreams and keep ourselves updated to our favourite singers! Whenever we had a chance, we will sing our favourite songs. Sweet memories though. I was part of it and my all-time favourite singer is Jolin Tsai.

Today, Jolin is still active in the entertainment sircle. She is  years old, and she is still single. I just love her songs, no explanations for it. When I am happy, I will listen to her song, the same goes to when I am sad. The lyrics are reflections of real life, sometimes, it plays as a mirror for me as well, I can see myself clearly. I think some of the lyrics are based on her personal experience, who knows? Her voice is soothing, it relieves the pain within me. I do not understand why I like her so much. I fell into her when I heard her song for the very first time. It was introduced by a friend sat next to me in secondary school. There is some sort of magnetic force, I know it sounds funny, but it is real!

The songs I like contain sad lyrics, truly sad love story. You can say I am sentimental, but the lyrics are so real, you just cannot deny it, it suits most of the situations I faced before. Her first album was released in 1999, I was 9 at that time, too young for being a fans. I had my very first album of Jolin Tsai when I was 14, entitled 'Castle'. I indulged fully in her songs like other fans. 'It's Love' is a happiness song, whereas 'Rewind' is a song of sadness. Those days I had my puppy love, but I never get into any relationship throughout my secondary school, I admired and I confessed but I never succeed, exactly like the song. Funny, right?

Jolin is a Taiwanese and she is a Chinese. In general, she is a mandopop singer, more to trendy type. I prefer her old songs, it comes with better quality and suit me well. Her latest album was released on 27th march 2009.The title for that album is 'Butterfly', I am going to get myself a copy of that. Don't get me wrong ya, I mean a original copy.

Everyone has their own favourite singer. It enriches your life in the way you never expected. But, please do not get obsess with it. For me, Jolin Tsai is always the best. Jolin rocks!

Latest photo of Jolin as she appeared as a guest in a fashion show in Japan.

A Bored Gifted Studemt

It was a sunny day, and I was on my way home. I was thinking about myself. Do I have any problem in socialize? Or am I a boring person? In school, my friends and classmates will come to me when they are facing problems in academic. I never receive any invitations for birthday party. No one will come to me and sit beside me or chat with me. I was a top academic performer, is that the reason behind everything? I did not attend any tuition class, and I did not join any clubs or associations. Most of my friends were my classmates, because I did not go for any extra activities. I guessed there is a boundary for my social circle. In school, I was a role model, many teachers like to talk to me or refer to me according to the problems they faced in class. I never take any action in approaching people. So, most of them think that I was arrogant. I was not, just that i did not know what to talk about and how to start an interesting conversation. In the end, I chose to be quiet. I had a lot of virtual friends in Facebook. During my leisure time, I played computer games and did some readings. At home, I hardly communicate with my parents, I did well in school and good in discipline, just stay cool like always. I do not have any siblings, I am the only child and I got whatever I want. One of fiends even came to me and asked me, "Don't you feel bored? Because I always see you alone". For me, I am used to it already, nothing more and nothing less. My parents wanted me to succeed, and I was just the right thing. For every subjects I took, I managed to pass with flying colours. All I had to do is, read through my text books and focused in class, there is no other secrets behind it. But, should I change my attitude? I always think about it, but I never come out with any decision. I do not like to be fake and pretend to be nice to others. This is me, and I will always be myself. Maybe an angel and change my life. Who knows?

The Cranberries

"The Cranberries", does this name sound familiar to you? Do you enjoy their songs? Let me do a brief introduction to all of you. "The Cranberries" is a well-known Irish rock band which founded at 1989. Today, this rock band consists of 4 people. First of all, the vocalist is Dolores O'Riordan, guitarist Noel Hogan, bassist Mike Hogan and drummer Fergal Lawler. I love O'Riordan's voice, it is so unique and soothing!

Actually, O'Riordan is not the original vocal for "The Cranberries", she joined the band after the band was formed. At the begining, Niall Quinn was the original vocalist for "The Cranberries", but he left the band in less than a year. The original name for the band is "The Cranberry Saw Us", they changed it to "The Cranberries" after they sold 300 copies of their home-made demo tape. In a short period of time, they attracted the major recording company and they ended up at Island Records.

So far, they came out with 6 albums already. The first one is "Everybody else is doing it, so why can't we?", it was released on 1st of March 1993. Follow by, "No need to argue" at 1994. 2 years later, it is "To the faithful departed". "Bury the hatchet" was released in year 1999. In year 2001, they released "Wake up and smell the coffee". After another 11 years, "The Cranberries" came back with "Roses". There is no specific song I like in the latest album. But, I love "Linger" in "Everybody else is doing it, so why can't we?" The song is a reflection of love story, how cruel can a relationship be. Somehow, it triggered my heart when I listened to this song.

 Linger
You must be wondering about their appearances. "Linger" MV was recorded in 1993, approximately 10 years from now. For sure, they gain wisdom and grow older. Their passion towards music have proved that age is no an obstacle. And there is one fact which never change, they always work hard in music and come out with the best songs ever!

Favourite Fictional Chracter

Childhood is the most precious and innocent moment in our lives. We did not need to think and concern about the real life. I was a naughty boy, but I had a great childhood. I watched a lot of cartoons, there are Power Rangers, Conan The Adventurer, Thunder Cats and so on and so forth. But, my all-time favourite is Captain Planet!

This is how the story started, Gaia assembled 5 "Planeteers" from several nations. All the "Planeteers" have a ring with specific element power. Kwame is an African which possesses the power of Earth. Wheeler is a North American which controls the power of Fire. Linka is a Russian with the power of Wind. Gi is a Thai which controls the power of Water. Lastly, Ma-ti is a Brazilian which possesses the power of Heart. Among all the "Planeteers", I like the one with Fire power, his name is Wheeler. I think that is the reason Why I loved playing with fire when I was a kid.

Captain Planet is a guy with ice-blue complexion. Apparently, he is made up of ice. He is a strong and tough guy. His strength will be weakened when he is exposed to dirt like pollution. Captain Planet have to deal with "Eco-Villains", these are a small group of evil people which brings destruction to Earth to obtain wealth and power. Among all the "Eco-Villains", I have the deepest impression on Doctor Blight. She is an insane with a half-scarred face behind her hair. She even stole the rings of the "Planeteers" and created "Pollution Rings"

Throughout this series, I learned that we must protect the Earth. With all the pollutions and deforestation, Earth is getting sicker. But, most of the people never care about it. Hence, we really need someone like Captain Planet to protect the Earth. With the help of Captain Planet, we are able to educate the younger generation about the importance of environment.

I love Captain Planet, he is always a hero in my heart. I cannot doubt that he is my all-time favourite fictional character. Captain Planet, for the win!

Glee

What comes to your mind when you first saw this title? I bet you are thinking about the American musical comedy-drama. Nope, that is not what I am going to talk about. Glee is the feeling of happiness and excitement, but it is caused by others misfortune. Wait, does it sound familiar to you, making fun of others misfortune? Sometimes, people just enjoy the glee. Personally, I enjoy glee. It shows how evil I am.

Be honest to me, have you ever face any gleeful situation? Well, I faced a few of them in my life. When I was in my secondary school life, I used to be one of the naughtiest students in the school. My form teacher was having a hard time in dealing with me. I know that sounds awful. there is an incident which I could not forget for the rest of my life. It was recess time, all the boys gathered at the back of the classroom. It was time to show our basketball skills. With all the dribbling and passing, we thought that we looked cool. But, for the girls, we were a bunch of clowns only. Just that, it was a routine for us, we could not live without it.

Here comes the incident, my friend, Alexander, was showing off his shooting skills, he shot the basketbal towards the ceiling fan, and the basketball bounced back. It would be cool if the baskeball bounced back to him, but the basketball went to a different direction. PUK! The basketball hit the back part of my friend, a girl named Ong. She was stunned and broke into tears. I was like, Oh My God! At the same time, I ran out of my classroom. That is because, I cannot hold my laugh. Yet, that girl was crying. My other classmates were trying to comfort the girl. Seriously, that was hilarious. Some of my friends ran out of the classroom as well, because we were sharing the same 'sickness', we cannot hold our laugh. All of us laughed like mad at the corridor. This case was reported to my form teacher. My geng and I received our 'reward', a warning letter. Basketball was banned in our class for a few weeks only. Thus, all the boys were back to action after that. I guess we never learn the lesson.

That is one of the gleeful happenings in my life. Whenever I think of it, it puts a smile on my face. Secondary school life... Yeah, I miss those moment.
